True sports events

Hey Glen !
Hope you are well ! Thank you again for another wonderful year at the BBBRUN, especially with the frame running event, Quinn loved it again, and this year we managed to get 4 kids from the Kingswood CPA group there to compete.
Norah, Quinn, Elsie and Noah ! They all had a blast, they all had a massive smile on their faces.
So again I made a short video for you guys to enjoy, I can’t send it via email as it’s too large,  so if someone from the Instagram or social media team has a Google album app I can drop it into that for them so it’s clearer be able to access it !
I’d love to get it to you, it’s a video with Kingswood 4 CPA students (we are very lucky to have them even though Quinn hasn’t got CP, she has Spina Bifida) and it shows two of our kids placing.

hope you are having a good week.
I just wanted to email you to say how much I enjoyed the run last Sunday!!.
Doing the 10km run on closed roads and though the Newington Armory getting you down to the River was very exciting for me. I really enjoyed running through the park Running on open roads like that make me feel great and a part of a team. When we ran through a park (not sure what it’s called, not Olympic Park) that area it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, it made me feel super good knowing that I ran there under my own steam!

Hi BBB run team,

Just wanted to pass on a massive thank-you to the Race Director. We arrived just after 8am for on-the-day registration for the family 2km run (thanks to the numerous road closures and steady stream of race finishes crossing the road ) and were told at the race desk we’d missed the 8am cut off and he could not run. My 9 year old boy was devastated and in tears. Feeling like I’d absolutely failed my child, I was desperate to make things right. I managed to find the race-chip/timing fellow and he pointed out the Race director to me. I informed the Race director of the situation, and he re-opened the race portal and registered my child and I, allowing us to run.  My child ended up coming 4th, running a massive 40s faster than last year! He was absolutely stoked.

So to the Race Director, thank you. Your understanding and actions made our day after such a rough start. I know we will be back again next year!

The BBB Run really is a fabulous community event!
Having a superb location and an interesting,  runner-friendly course are not enough to create such a successful event.
A lot of hard work, the friendly professionalism of the BBB Run team, and the commitment to inclusivity are the ingredients that make the event special. Achilles Sydney has benefited greatly from these.
Your generosity has created opportunities for our members to be a part of it all.
On a personal note, your flexibility and assistance in dealing with our late changes are greatly appreciated.

The atmosphere at Wentworth Point before the racing on Sunday was buzzing. The Events Village was similarly a happy place after the races had been run.

It is no wonder that the BBB Run is a firm favourite with our members.

Thank you for the opportunity to pace the BBB Run Half Marathon Race yesterday.
The Sydney Striders Running Club had a fantastic day and the pacers had an amazing time guiding the running community through the course and motivating them to their target goals.
As a club we pride ourselves on our high standards of pacing which was evident from our runners with the results.
We unfortunately had our 2 hour pacer that pulled out at 5.30am due to illness however we managed to replace him with our very experienced pacer Goji Enomoto.

Frame running is a fantastic adaptive and inclusive sports for people, we all should know about it and make it as loud as we need it to be. The more it’s shared the more we will educate and the more we will see start to join in on this community you’ve created.

Thankyou so much for an amazing morning! It was our family’s first experience participating in the BBBRun. My husband and 7 year old son completed the 10km run, and it was so exciting to see my son achieve his goals – we are so proud of him! And that was all made possible because of your all inclusive event. As a family of 4 we then ran in the 2km run with my d5 year old daughter and had a blast.
Thank you for organising such a fantastic event! We all decided on the way home we’ll definitely be participating again next year!

Good Evening BBBRUN, I have to congratulate you on another fabulous event… The volunteers went above and beyond, bib collection so easy. The MC was great at engaging with the participants  and love the recognition of those wheel chair/framed assisted participants.  The only recommendation I would make is to have the pacer more easily identified  ie something similar to the Flag they use at other events so they are clearly visible.. personally I am returning from an injury and  just delighted to participate.   Keep up the great work .See you next year.
